News!

A lot has happened in the past week!

1. I got elected president of the Junior class!
2. I won an act in our Pop Concert!
3. I got accepted to Missouri Academy!

Unfortunately, I can not be class president at a school I will not be attending. I think they're going to hold another election to make sure everyone is happy. At the time I didn't know I would be going to a different school next year, and I honestly didn't think I would get accepted.

The Pop Concert at my school is a pretty big deal. The whole choir will sing a couple songs, and then there will be solos acts. That's what I auditioned for. Everything we perform will be accompanied by a CD. For my solo I didn't want to sing along to a CD because I think that's a little cheesy. Sooo, I decided to sing True Colors and have a friend play acoustic for me. I chose it because it's easy to embellish and fun to sing (: I can't wait!!

Getting accepted to MA came as a shock. My dad has been telling me I shouldn't be surprised,but I just really didn't think I would get in. But I did! So, next year I will go to school there. It's sad to leave all the people I know and love, but I really think this is what I need to be doing. I'm sad that I won't be here any more, but I'm definitely excited about the opportunity that this new school brings! It's a bold move, but it's a good move for me.
