It is 60 degrees and sunny here in Maryville!! How gorgeous!! I had forgotten how nice it is to go outside without a coat :) It's amazing. Anyways, bright days have been only one of many blessings this week. I'm going to take some time to be thankful for all the crazy random things that have popped up in my life!
1. Crayon Art: Sunday a bunch of my friends got together and tried out this idea. You glue crayons to a canvas and use a hairdryer to melt them into what ever design you want. ITS SO COOL. haha! On top of the crafting, it was great to hang out with some pretty hilarious people!
2. Young Life: I participated in YL when I was back in Cape, so I was excited when I got the call about helping out with the worship at the Maryville chapter on Sunday night. I didn't know very many people, but it was great to have that opportunity!
3. Good Grades: It's got to be a miracle that I'm pulling the grades I am right now. It's just so nice to see that hardwork pays off!
4. 100 Hours of Prayer: The Baptist Student Union on campus is having an event thats called, you guessed it, 100 Hours of Prayer. I signed up for two slots. Sadly, I missed the first one because I forgot... BUT I made it to the second one and it was sooo good!! It's amazing what God will tell you when you take time to listen!
5. Snickerdoodles: The Academy had an auction last week to benefit Pennys for Patients and I bought some Snickerdoodles. Well, I got them fresh yesterday and we have managed to make a serious dent in them already!!! They'll be gone by tonight :) just watch!!
6. Insanity: Before it got cold I would run for a little while each morning, but then it got cold. Long story short, there are about 10 people from my building doing insanity now! We're on day 3 and I'm very sore haha. I like the challenge. Andddddd, it's fun to laugh at the people who lead those videos "Come on! Put on a shirt!!" hahaha
7. ACT accommodations: If you've been reading this blog for any amount of time you've probably figured out that I can't spell very well :) That's partially because I type too fast and partially because of my dislexia (or lesdixia as I like to call it). I just recently recieved accomodations from the ACT and SAT, sooo now I can get extra time and my scores will go up!! WOOP WOOP!! Watch out world!
That's just a little bit of my week so far. I'm so grateful for how the Lord is working, in the little things and the big things. My life doesn't seem very interesting when I write it down, but sometimes it seems like a wild ride to me :) I'm going to go do something outside, so I hope you enjoyed this week's Word for Wednesday!
